CENDANT RECOGNIZED BY CIO MAGAZINE AS ONE OF THE 'BOLD 100' IN ANNUAL CIO 100 AWARDS

LeadRouter™ System Now in Use by 70,000 Real Estate Professionals Affiliated with the Cendant Real Estate Franchise Group Brand Networks Marking a 1,000 Percent Growth in Adoption Rate During Past Eight Months

PARSIPPANY, N.J. 08-15-2005 -- The Cendant Real Estate Franchise Group was named today as a recipient of the 2005 CIO 100 award, given by IDG's CIO magazine. The annual award program recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT). Cendant was recognized for its innovative LeadRouter™ lead management system, which makes it possible for sales associates to respond to online consumer inquiries via telephone within minutes. This year's CIO 100 award theme is the Bold 100, which recognizes those executives and organizations who embrace great risk for the sake of great reward. The publication defines bold organizations as those who play not just to survive, but to win.

The 2005 CIO 100 awards will be presented at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, Calif., on August 23 at the conclusion of the seventh annual CIO 100 Symposium® and Awards Ceremony.

The Cendant Real Estate Franchise Group launched its proprietary LeadRouter lead management system in December 2004 for the benefit of the brokers and sales associates within its Century 21®, Coldwell Banker®, Coldwell Banker Commercial®, ERA® and Sotheby's International Realty® brand networks. The LeadRouter system converts Internet-generated consumer inquiries into voice calls that are delivered to sales associates' cell phones, allowing sales associates to provide immediate responses to consumers. Cendant has a business methods patent pending for LeadRouter with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Today, including the full-scale adoption of LeadRouter by NRT Incorporated, the Cendant Real Estate Franchise Group has now rolled out the lead management system to approximately 70,000 sales associates and more than 2,500 offices within its residential real estate brand networks in 41 states. This is a 1,000 percent increase from its initial pilot group of 7,000 sales associates and 250 offices who were using LeadRouter prior to December 2004.

The LeadRouter technology makes it possible for sales associates to respond to online consumer inquiries via telephone within minutes. According to a 2004 Realtor.com survey, nearly 50 percent of online inquiries from homebuyers and sellers go unanswered after 48 hours. In an industry that rewards timeliness, response times can be the key to securing new business. The 2004 National Association of Realtors' Profile of Homebuyers and Sellers shows that 65 percent of agent-assisted homebuyers used the first agent they interviewed and that 73 percent of home sellers contacted only one agent in determining who would assist them with their home sale.

Cendant's proprietary LeadRouter system was also recently recognized as the "Most Innovative Technology" in the annual Inman Innovator Awards, presented July 27 by Inman News at the Real Estate Connect Conference in San Francisco. Cendant's LeadRouter shared the Inman Innovator award with Google Earth.

The recipients of this year's CIO 100 award were selected through a three-step process. First, companies filled out an online application form detailing their bold practices in both business and IT. Next, teams of CIO magazine editors and writers reviewed the applications in depth, looking for unique practices and substantial results.
